Hey Chick!

It is a cold and cloudy day today here in Colorado.  A good day to stamp!  So I thought I’d share a little of what I’ve been working on with you.

This card is made with a Sale-A-Bration set,  and as far as I am concerned, it is a must have!  Hey Chick is such a cute set.  Being an avid chicken collector (I collect vintage and antique roosters), I was sure to get this set first.

I like this chicken because it sort of looks like my hair when I get out of bed in the morning.  It is usually standing straight up on the left side, and this guys hair reminded me of…me!   LOL!  The only difference is my hair isn’t blue and my body isn’t yellow and I don’t have tail feathers.  My husband would tell you otherwise because says I am always getting my tail feathers in a ruffle.  🙂

Here is a graphic of the other stamps in the set.

When I made this card, I used a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Soft Suede card stock for the base.  The designer series paper is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.  The striped piece measures 2 1/2″ x 5 ” and the dotted piece is 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″.  The top piece of Soft Suede card stock measures 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ and the Whisper White piece upon which I stamped measure 2″ x 3″.  I added a piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 4″ x 5 1/4″ to the inside so that I could write a note of thanks in there for a special lady.

I hope  you enjoyed your visit here today.  It was short and I hope sweet!  Until next time

Happy Stamping!

Another Teeny Valentine

Hello Stampers!

Thought I’d take a moment or two away from housework and spend a little time here today! I’ve been buys getting ready for my monthly Cards & Coffee both in my stamp room and otherwise.  I have also been participating in my upline’s January challenge.  Every week for the past few weeks, she has been challenging us to create cards that meet specific requirements.  It has been fun to participate and to see my team members’ entries.  All I can say is I belong to a very creative team!

I never thought I’d love a Valentine set as much as I love this one.  Sealed with Love stamp set is so cute!   And the Love Notes Framelits are really cute too.  Here is another Valentine card I created with both of these items for our most recent challenge, which was to use a stamp set from the current Occasions Catalog with a new embellishment.

The two new embellishments I used are the Real Red ribbon from the Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack and a heart from the Sending Love Embellishments.   This is a simple and quick card.  Not sure which of my children to send it to.  I might have to make another just like it.  🙂

Hope you enjoyed your visit here today!  Until next time…

Pop-Up Valentine in a Box

Hello Stampers!

Today I am sharing a video on how to make this special Valentine card for the special person in your life.  This one is for my husband…lucky guy!  🙂

What makes this Valentine so unique is it comes in a box, and when you remove the lid, the card pops up out of the box.

Adorable!  And it is really easy to make.

I hope you enjoy your visit today!  Until next time…

Jingle All The Way

Hello Friends!  I am back this week feeling better than I have in a little while.  I am still recovering from my procedure last Monday, buy I sure do feel a heck of a lot better than I did last week at this time. Last Thursday, I managed to get out for a ride through the mountains with my husband to see all of the fall colors.  We went out for lunch on Saturday with friends, and today I managed to run a few errands.  Now I am a little tired, so I thought I’d spend a little time sitting.  Sometimes I have trouble just sitting, so I am trying to be a little productive while I do it.

These are a few of the many photos I took with my cell phone. The are  of the leaves turning colors in the mountains here in Colorado.  We get mostly gold and some red and dark green.  It isn’t like the leaves on the East Coast which turn all the other colors.  However, I think autumn  is beautiful in both parts of the country.

Fall - Sept 2015 - 12

I’m back this week with two more Christmas cards that I have created.  I  love the simplicity of this stamp set and edgelits die.  They make it look like I’ve spent hours creating these.

Xmas 15 - 3

I think I like the one above better than the one below.  I used a punch that is retire again.  🙁  I hope you don’t hold it against me.

Xmas 15 -2

I promise that next time I will have something a little more interesting to read.  I’ve hit a dry spell as far as what to write about is concerned.  Hope you enjoyed your stop here today.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping!
