Friends are like Seashells…

“Friends are like seashells, you collect them along the way!”  And in my life I have been blessed to have collected many!  Some have been life-long friends.  Some are are recent friends that I know I will eventually be able to call life-long friends.  Some were friends because of our common circumstance.  And of course, there have been those who I thought were friends.  It happens.  Their loss!

Today I’m sharing several cards I’ve created using Friends are like Seashells stamp set.  The first two pictured below use the Pearlescent paper Stampin’ Up! sells along with Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper.  I included the items I used to create these two cards at the end of the item showcase at the bottom of this post.   The video includes the process for creating your OWN pearlescent paper and a card using it.  You may have already seen other videos on this technique.  I like it because it is quick and simple, and you can create peralized paper in any color you want.  By the way,  I love this entire suite of products!

The easel card base requires two pieces of card stock.  The first piece measures 4-1/4″ x 11″ and it is scored at 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.  The second piece measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  To see how to assemble an easel card, Splitcoaststampers  has a good tutorial.

And finally, my video!  I hope you enjoy it!  Happy Stamping!

Hey Birthday Chick

Oh yes!  More Hey Birthday Chick!  I know I’ve said before, but I love, love, love chickens/roosters.  And this little guy is no exception!

My first card I’m sharing is a CASE of one of the cards in the current catalog; my interpretations anyway.  I love this green.  It’s bright and fun!  You can get this stamp set in the January to June catalog.

My second card is note card size.  I’ve said before, you can get twenty cards that are mail-able size if you purchase a package of note cards for $7.00!  Now that’s a deal!  In my note card birthday card, I colored the rhinestones with my Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  Did you know that since the Stampin’ Blends are alcohol based, you can use them to color the pearls and rhinestones any color you want.

Also, if you like this paper, you have until the end of THIS month, yes THIS month to get it.  It’s a FREE SALE a-bration item, and SALE a-bration ends with the end of February this year.

Just a quick post today.  I’ll be back later this month with a video.  Until then…

Happy Stamping!

I just love pink and gray together!  A complete supply list can be found at the bottom of this post.  Also, did you know that SALE a-bration this year ends on February 28th?  So if there is something you’ve been wanting, order soon!

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping!
