Thank You Watercolor Note Card 4

Saying thank you is always appropriate.   When I was a child, my mother taught me that the words please and thank you are magic.  She always said if a person asks nicely and says please and then remembers to say thank you,  magic happens.  Well, I don’t know about magic happening, but  I think we don’t say those words enough. We especially don’t say them enough to the people we love most.  I tell my husband it is important for husband and wife, mother/father and child to say please and thank you to each other.  Not only is it important, it is MANDATORY!.  🙂  It is becoming a lost art.  People, starting when they are children, must be taught to say please and thank you.   I’ve noticed on occasion with my students in school that many of them are not taught at home how to say those two little words.  I know this because on those few occasions when I hand out treats, many will receive them without saying thanks.  I remind them by saying, “You’re welcome,” when I hand the treat to them.  Then the thank you’s begin.  I always try to use those two little words with my students.  I had one student say to me one day, “You are always so polite, Mrs. Cauler.”  My response was, “I try to be.  Why do you sound surprised that I would be polite with you?  Do you think that I don’t need to be just because I am your teacher?  I say please and thank you to you because I expect you to say please and thank you to me.”

So, with all of that said,  please look at my fourth Watercolor Wonder Note Card.  Thank you!

Amazing Note Card Number Three

I don’t think we tell enough the important people in our lives how important and amazing they are.  We tend to take the good things in life for granted.  Well, this card is for someone important to me.  My 27-year-old son has been going through some personal struggles for the last few weeks, and no matter what,  he never seems to let things get him too far down.  I want him to know how proud of him I am and how amazing I think he is.  This card may be a little girly, but guys like flowers too.  It almost has a vintagey feel to it because of the roses and the gray and guys can like vintage stuff too.  So this is for him.  And if it is too girly for him he won’t care because it’s from his mom and he loves me.  🙂

Christopher…you inspire me every day, and I don’t tell you enough that when God gave me you, he gave me the best son he could give. I love you with all my heart.  You mean the world to me, and I have never been more proud to call you son.   xxxooo  Mom

Hello Friend Watercolor Note Card

Do you believe it?  Two posts in as many days!  Who would have thought?!

My spring break has been busy.  I spent the majority of it re-painting my guest bedroom.  It is about time!  We’ve lived in our home for 13 years now, and this is the first time I’ve painted that room.  I can’t believe I’ve allowed guests to actually sleep in it…it was a pit!  I finished with the painting, but I am still waiting for the carpeting to arrive.  Once it gets here, I will install it and start the fun part, and that’s the decorating.  I’ve already purchased new curtains and comforters for the beds.  But I will still need lamps and pictures to hang, etc.  It will be fun.  The colors I chose for the room are gray and yellow.

As promised last time, this is card number 2 of the Watercolor Wonder Note Card set I mentioned.   I really like the way this one turned out.  The sentiment is stamped so crisply that it almost looks like it was computer generated.  I also like this card because it is trendy and modern.  Hope you like it too..
