Long Week and a Birthday Card

Wow!  My first week back to work after Spring Break and it has been a long one.  Glad it is over, and I can rest (yeah, right!) this weekend.  The week started out with us celebrating my son’s 27th birthday on March 30th at Red Lobster Restaurant.  I asked him how he got so old? But,  he couldn’t give me a good answer.  🙂  He always teases me each year on my birthday, so I figured it was time to start teasing him.

It was tough getting out of bed at 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning, but I managed.  The first day back to work after a week off is always tough.  The kids were rowdy as many hadn’t seen each other in a week and they were anxious to get caught up on each other’s news.

On Tuesday, I don’t know what possessed me, but I volunteered to be a substitute on one of our school’s bowling teams.  Each year our district does a fitness challenge with different events, and one of the teachers that signed up to bowl couldn’t make it that evening.  They thought I was kidding when I asked if we would be using the bumpers.  Fortunately, my score did improve by 30 points on the second game we bowled.  And no…I WILL NOT tell what my score was on the first game.

By Wednesday evening I was exhausted and my arm ached horribly because I have a herniated disk at the base of my neck.  The bowling also didn’t help my elbow.  I crashed on the sofa as soon as I got home from work.  Yesterday was finally normal, and here I am today nice and rested.

Today, I am sharing the birthday card I made for my son.
