Floating Easel Card

Hi Stampers!

It has been a long time, but I do have a new video for you today!  I’ve created what I call a floating easel card for lack of better terminology.  It’s an easel card with a window so that’s why it is floating.  If any of you can think of a better name for it, I am definitely interested in hearing what you would call it.

I used the Mixed Florals Bundle and the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle to make this card, but it would work with any stamp set you might have.  I love the colors in this too.  I used Melon Mambo, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist.  It’s definitely a summer time card and even though it is almost the end of August and school has started for a lot of the country,  I am not quite ready to put my summer stuff away.  Fall doesn’t start until September 22nd so I am one of those people that says…”Keep your spiced pumpkin latte’s until then”  LOL!

As always, I am providing you with a freed PDF tutorial for this project.  I hope you enjoy making this card as much as I did.

Enjoy the video and as always…

Until next time…

Happy Stamping!

Faux Silk & Masking Techniques

Hi Stampers!

Last week I shared my creations for Splitcoast Stampers from last July, and I said I would share a technique video on one way to add texture to your cards.  I chose the faux silk method for the video, and I also included a little of the masking technique

Here are the two cards I created using the faux silk technique.  This technique requires the use of tissue paper and liquid glue and is very easy.

DISCLAIMER:  I’ve used several retired products in these two cards to include: Gold Baker’s Twine, Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls, Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set, Everyday Details Dies, Butterfly Brilliance Dies, and one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  Everything else is current.

I hope you enjoy the video!

Until next time…

New Year New Catalog!

Happy New Year!

A week ago, our new Occasions Catalog went active along with this year’s Sale-a-bration.  That’s me…usually a day late and a dollar short!  You don’t know what Sale-a-bration is?  Well, let me tell you…for every $50.00 you spend in regular product from any of our active catalogs, you can get an item in our Sale-a-bration catalog FREE!  Now that’s a deal, if you ask me.

You say you don’t have TIME to stamp?  Well the cards I’m sharing today took me less than thirty minutes…NOT EACH…but for ALL THREE!  That’s right, they are simple but still beautiful.  it just goes to show you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a nice card and you don’t have to have all day to create one; just thirty minutes and you can make three!

The first two cards are for Valentine’s Day and are made with sets that are in the current Occasions Catalog.  The last card is made with a set that I got for free which is in Sale-a-bration.  And if you know me, if there is a rooster set available, it is the first one I will choose because I am a chicken lover!  In October my sister took a count of how many rooster/chickens I have in my home in some form or another and I think she stopped counting at around 97.  I know…it’s a sickness.

So here are the cards that I created with plain white paper, ink and a stamp set.  Hope you like them.

Happy Stamping!
