Snow Day No. 2

It is the second straight day for sub-zero temps here in Colorado Springs, so needless to say, schools are closed again today.  My husband and I went out for breakfast this morning at around 8:00 and my ears began to ach from the cold for the two minutes it took to get from the car to the restaurant.  It was a good call to close school, as many students walk,  and some would arrive dressed inappropriately.  On Tuesday of this week, it was snowing and very cold,  and I had a student show up to first block in shorts and a t-shirt.  I asked him if he had a coat in his locker and his response was, “No.”  That was how he had arrived at school because he was, “In a hurry.”  Yikes!  I wanted to ask him if one of his parents had seen him before he left that morning, but I didn’t dare.  You never know a students situation at home.  But then, you do need to take into account the age of the student…14 years old…, and many kids that age have had their brains stolen by aliens, and we wonder when they will be returned? Around age 30, if we are lucky, I would guess.  LOL!

Here is another card I’ve worked on over the last two days.  I realized I need something somewhat masculine for an upcoming birthday and this is what I came up with.  Hope you like it.
