Madison Avenue Matchbook Cover

Happy St. Patty’s Day to all of my Irish friends!  Hope your day is wonderful and filled with the Luck o’ the Irish.  🙂

Today’s post is a little different in that it is not a card.  Instead I created a matchbook cover for a notepad that I had lying around.  Actually, I have several of them and was wondering what to do with them and this idea came to mind.  It’s pretty easy…it had to be because I figured it out all by myself!  LOL!

The notepad I used measures 3 3/4 by 4 3/4, so I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 4″ by 10 1/4″ long. I placed the long edge of the card stock at the top of my Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334) and scored my paper at the 1/2″, 3/4″, 4 3/4″, and 5″ marks to create the matchbook. I used sticky strip (104294) to adhere the notepad to the cover. Then I decorated it! You can use a larger notepad if you want, you would just have to adjust the width and length of your paper and the score lines. It is simple! I hope you like it.
