A Clean & Simple Elegant Leaves

Hi Stampers!

Just a quick post today.

I don’t know what it is about stamp sets of leaves, but I really like them.  Especially this one…Elegant Leaves. This set will be available on September 1st.   Not only is the stamp set awesome because you can use it as a two-step stamp set like I did in my previous post, but it’s really pretty when you just use the dies too.  Stampin’ Up!’s color coach really helped me with this too.  I use it quite a bit as it helps me decide exactly which colors coordinate with each other.  If you don’t have one, I highly recommend you get one!

I got the idea for this card from an old card I have from another demonstrator, so yes, it is a CASE.  But as always, I added my own twist to it.    The backgrounds on the leaves are cut from Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Berry Burst card stock.  The veins are cut from Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, and Blackberry Bliss card stock and layered over the backgrounds with liquid glue.  I layered them in the bottom right corner of the card front which measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ using liquid glue again.   So for the base you need a piece of basic white card stock that measures 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ folded in half.  The sentiment comes from Special Moments,  a retired set.  And the ribbon is Very Vanilla and Basic Black checked ribbon.  The ink I used is Memento Tuxedo Black.  It’s just a simple and quick card that turned out beautifully.

Some of the card stock used on this cared is on sale now too for only $11.90 a pack vs. $14.00.  Now would be the time to stock up.

Hope you enjoyed your visit today.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping!
