Catching Up and a Convention Roomie Gift

I finally feel like I am catching up with things around here since we returned from our road trip two weeks ago.  I am telling you, I am better organized when I am at work full-time.  I just haven’t  gotten into the swing of things this summer break.  During the school year my free time is so limited that I know that if something needs done there is no putting it off, because if I do then it will never get done.  My time is tightly planned and packed with all of the things I want to accomplish.  But in the summer I fall into the trap of saying to myself, “Oh well.  If you don’t get to it today, you will have time tomorrow.”  I can’t believe what a procrastinater I turn into.

This past month has also been a little wild in that we were gone for two weeks on vacation and the week after we returned I had surgery on my parathyroids.  It was a 3 hour procedure and I was home the same day, but it took a good 4 to 5 days to really feel like doing much.  So here I am.  I’ve stamped this week mostly in preparation for next week’s Stampin’ Up! Convention.  I can’t wait to get to Salt Lake City and be with all of my stamping friends.

Here is a photo of my roommate gift.  It is a notepad cover.  Hope you like it.
