Oh, MG! It has been over a month. Where did the time go?
This past month has been crazy, to say the least. My husband and I made a long distance road trip to Wisconsin and Ohio during the month of June. We went to visit family. It is a 20 hour drive from Colorado to Wisconsin. A friend of mine joked that should not strangle my husband on the long drive east. At the time, I couldn’t figure out what she might be talking about. It had been years since we made that trip to Ohio via car before. I had forgotten what it is really like driving hour after hour, mile after mile in close quarters And we were a lot younger the last time we did it. We left town on the 8th of June and we were gone for two weeks. Our first stop was Jackson, WI for a few days. We arrived there on June 9th. That’s right outside of Milwaukee. My nephew and his family live there. I had been saying for some time that I wanted to visit him and it just so happened that this worked out. We me my older sister there. She lives in Ohio. It was a nice to visit my nephew and his beautiful wife and children. After about 4 days, my husband and I headed to Ohio (another 8 – 10 hours in the car together) to see the rest of my family while my sister finished out the week with her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. A few days later she returned home to Ohio and we spent another week together.
My nephew’s daughter ( guess that would make her my great-niece?) celebrated a birthday while we visited. She will be in 4th grade next year. She is a sweetie, and this is the card I made for her birthday. Keep in mind that I CASED this card. Sometimes I need to do that in order to get the creative juices flowing. The paper is different, but the general idea was cased. My original intention was to post this from Wisconsin, but…that didn’t happen!

Needless to say, we celebrated Father’s Day while we were away, and I meant to post the Father’s Day card I made while we were gone as well. But that didn’t happen. 🙂 I did remember to give it to my husband, but in the process forgot to make an anniversary card for him. We celebrated our anniversary while we were on the road on June 9th. He remembered as I saw him trying to sneak the anniversary card he had for me into our hotel room. 🙂

Well, that’s most of what I was supposed to post last month. I really don’t think there was anything else as I didn’t get to do much stamping in June. Only a month behind! That’s not bad. But I promise to catch up this weekend. Oh, and I didn’t strangle my husband, although there were a few times when it came close! LOL! I am sure the feeling was mutual.
Until next time…
Happy Stamping!
Josie
